I have been privileged to serve as Senior Pastor here at Hilltop UMC for the past three years. Janet and I moved here July 1, 2006, after serving Christ UMC in Fort Collins, Colorado, for nine years.  We are both Colorado natives who have discovered that we love Utah--the place, the people, and this congregation!  We are excited to be here sharing in ministry with folks who are likewise committed to serving Jesus Christ.  Together, we pray that God will use us to "share the life and light of Jesus Christ with neighbors near and far!"  Shalom in Christ!  Rev. Roberta Shimensky, director, is currently Music Director and Organist at Hilltop United Methodist Church, where she leads the Chancel Choir and the Hilltop Gospel Choir. She was formerly on faculty of Westminster College as conductor of the Westminster Women’s Choir, Westminster Singers, Westminster Chamber Orchestra, and instructor of piano. Career highlights include: Assistant Conductor/Pianist, Kennedy Center Imagination Celebration of Salt Lake, world premiere of Libby Larsen’s opera Dreaming Blue, 2002; Conducting Fellow, Dennis Keene Choral Festival 2000-03; guest conductor, Salt Lake Symphony; Utah Opera Chorusmaster, Madama Butterfly, 2001; member, Utah Opera Chorus; performances as keyboardist for the former OPUS Chamber Orchestra and Salt Lake Symphony; accompanist for Utah Opera’s “Opera-in-the-Schools.”

Maggie is our Administrative Assistants, she has been with Hilltop since March of 2008. She moved here from California, where she grew up, she's originally from Armenia. Maggie's professional background has been in medical billing. Working at Hilltop has been interesting and a new invironment for her.
